The album set to drop by the rapper who died of drug overdose is titled Circles and has been dubbed the "sister album" to 2018's Grammy Award-nominated album Swimming.

Are you excited at the prospect of hearing brand new from Mac Miller music? The album arrives on January 17 via Warner Records.

Only two days after announcing the posthumous Mac Miller album Circles, the family of the late rapper has put out its first single, Good News.

His family begin the emotional post, 'Here we are. "The fact of having to write this feels surreal".

Miller released his album Swimming, which also featured collaborations with Brion, in August 2018. The concept was to fuse the projects as a nod to the phrase "swimming in circles".

"We are eternally grateful to Jon and those who gave their best to the hard and emotional task of putting out this body of work", the rapper's family continued.

"This is a complicated process that does not have a correct answer". "We miss him. We're left to think about the place Malcolm was going and to understand the place he was". From there, we're transported into an abstract world that uses motion collage to take us through animated landscapes, with familiar Mac imagery peppered throughout.

He died at the age of 26 on September 7, 2018.

With everything that comes with it, the incredible music, the incredible emotions, Circles will no doubt be one of the more complex, albeit important albums we grapple with.
