Edelman and the Patriots would be playing against the Chiefs this weekend, had it not been for the Wildcard loss to the Titans last week.
The incident took place in Beverly Hills. Edelman was arrested Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020, in Southern California on suspicion of misdemeanor vandalism after allegedly jumping on the hood of someone's vehicle.
Edelman damaged the vehicle and was booked on suspicion of vandalism at about 9 p.m.in the 200 block of Beverly Drive, Beverly Hills Police Department Lt. Elisabeth Albanese told KTLA in an email. He left with his friends. Edelman was released on a citation and is scheduled to appear in court in April.
"Law enforcement sources tell us it went down this way". On the season, he recorded 100 receptions for 1117 yards and 6 touchdowns.
He had played through shoulder and knee injuries and was recently named the team's 2019 Ed Block Courage Award recipient.
The L.A. County District Attorney will decide whether to file charges against Edelman.
