Colts fall to Titans 31-17 after 4th quarter implosion

With the victory, the Titans now sit on a three-game winning streak.

Colts: Vinatieri missed a 55-yarder that sailed wide right and a 53-yarder that was blocked in the first half.

Sprinting 63 long yards down the field with a blocked field-goal attempt, Titans cornerback Tye Smith was so far out in front of his Colts pursuers he found himself with time to think. Adam Vinatieri misses 3 kicks with 2 of them blocked, and one returned for a touchdown. But then they ran off 24 unanswered points to win 31-17, sending a message that this is not the same old Titans. "And that can (just) be one or two and change the whole outcome of the game". Worse, at 6-6, their hopes of catching the Titans or Houston Texans for the AFC South crown are quickly diminishing - just like there chances at securing one of the two available Wild Card spots. Don't let anyone fool you, for the Titans to get to where they ultimately want to go, they had to beat the Colts. With around four minutes to go in the game, they trailed by only seven. Brissett fired deep down the middle of the field where Ryan was waiting to put the game on ice for the Titans. By way of his size, he has also been one of the most hard backs to tackle, and he showcased that mesmerizing blend of size and speed during the third quarter of Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts when he scampered into the end zone.

The Colts recorded a season-high six sacks along along with two forced fumbles in those first three quarters, but even the stout defense fell apart late. Tannehill was efficient, completing 17 of 22 passes for 182 yards and two touchdowns. Safety Kenny Moore II also left with an ankle injury in the second half.
