It's official: the beloved balloons at Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade will fly. Messages were sent to Macy's representatives.
The fate of the balloons was uncertain in the days leading up to the holiday, as officials anxious that sustained winds would exceed 23 miles per hour or wind gusts would be stronger than 34 miles per hour.
Bad weather has only kept the Macy's balloons from flying once - in 1971.
On Thursday, in a windy spot near the start of the 2.5-mile (4-kilometer) route, a Nutcracker balloon knocked into a handler, who fell down but then continued along. The Grinch balloon touched some trees as he crossed the corner, drawing "oooh!"
This is the second time the Titans have gone to Detroit for the parade.
The 33-year-old dropped her first ever holiday album in October called Christmas In The City and choose to sing "Christmas in New York" for the annual event.
Joanna Mumman and her family came from Bradford County in northern Pennsylvania to revisit the parade she attended every year when she grew up in the Bronx.

The wind regulations were put in place after four people were injured by a Cat in the Hat balloon during a particularly windy Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in 1997.
