Last night (November 24), Taylor Swift received the Artist of the Decade trophy at the American Music Awards, and she performed a medley of some of her biggest hits to commemorate the occasion. It may be a sign she's winning the PR war over her catalog as well.

"The a year ago of my life has had some of the most wonderful times and also some of the hardest things I've gone through", Swift said in the final speech of the night. Thank you to the fans ... this album really felt like a new beginning. This industry is really weird. The public spat culminated last week with Braun saying that his family had received numerous death threats after the pop singer urged her 122 million Instagram fans to let Braun "know how you feel about this". "I think taste has cheapened through the years and a lot of things..."
Grammy-nominee Lizzo - perhaps the most memeable artist of the year - has become the talk of the American Music Awards with her red carpet look that included a minuscule Valentino purse that could hold a single breath mint.
She continued, "I believed these awards".
She added, "You know I'm going to keep making music for them and for us". In a statement, Big Machine Records denied that that was what happened and said that their approval was not needed for live performances but rather for distribution of audio and video recordings of those performances. Swift has not addressed this publicly.
During an interview with Ryan Seacrest in October, Selena praised her fans for keeping her strong throughout some hard times.
It's been a tumultuous few weeks for Taylor Swift. Billie Eilish wore a flame-bedecked shirt stating "No Music On a Dead Planet", an affirmation of the climate change activism she's pursuing on her current arena tour.
She was awarded with not only the 'Artist of the Decade" award, but the "Artist of the Year" and "Favourite Pop/Rock Album' awards, among three others. "But the truth is I am older now and I'm also an artist and apparently I'm doing okay".
