AT&T Drops Free ‘WatchTV’ From New Unlimited Wireless Plans

Two of the three plans will launch beginning Sunday, November 3. Unlimited Extra ($40 per line), meanwhile, throws in 15GB of hotspot data. Starter families can enjoy their plans for $35 per line. Keeping track of all the different limits on AT&T's unlimited mobile plans is just as hard as ever, but there's some good news for customers who use lots of smartphone data. We've reached out to AT&T for more information on the Unlimited Starter data limits and throttling speed for each plan. AT&T has confirmed to Engadget that none of the plans will include the live-oriented TV service you get with the outgoing unlimited plans.

The Verge reports that single line accounts will cost $65 per month, so like many wireless plans out there, you'll be getting a discount depending on the number of lines you have. This plan costs $80 per month for a single line and $48 per line if you buy four lines.

AT&T says in the coming weeks they will also release an Elite plan that will include 30GB of hotspot data, HD streaming, and HBO for $50 a month with 4 lines.

AT&T is rolling out three new unlimited wireless plans - and with the new packages, subscribers will no longer have free access to WatchTV, the 35-plus live TV channels the telco launched previous year. Unlimited & More Premium also lets customers choose one of the following services: HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, Pandora Premium, Spotify Premium, and VRV.
