New Birds of Prey Posters Are Positively Fantabulous

The Birds of Prey are on the loose - and Harley Quinn is certainly reveling in the mayhem. Margot Robbie is back as the titular Harley Quinn, sans Jared Leto as the Joker (sure it's all about the Joaquin Phoenix movie now) from "Suicide Squad".

This trailer leans more on the "Fantabulous Emanicipation of One Miss Harley Quinn" rather than the "Birds of Prey" (you don't even learn the names of the supporting characters), and I'm totally fine with that decision.

The first trailer for BIRDS OF PREY will drop online tomorrow morning - October 1, 2019 - and Warner Bros. has revealed a few new promos pics for the film. Also on board for this superheroine extravaganza are Ali Wong (Fresh Off the Boat), Robert Catrini (American Crime Story), Steven Williams (It: Chapter One) and Derek Wilson of Preacher fame.

Unlike most of the superhero blockbusters now in the market, Birds Of Prey is directed by female filmmaker Cathy Yan - who is the first Asian-American woman to helm a comic book movie. Pictures has simply chose to just call the movie BOP HQ, which sounds like a new store that sells inflatable furniture, karaoke machines and bright colored hair ties.

In the DC Comics, the Birds of Prey are a mostly female superhero team has included Oracle/Batgirl, Black Canary, Huntress, Catwoman, Hawkgirl, Power Girl, Poison Ivy, Vixen, and Katana, who was played by Karen Fukuhara in Suicide Squad.

Birds of Prey opens in theaters on February 7, 2020.
