Kevin Hart's crash: Report says reckless driving caused it

Kevin Hart Finally Speaks Out One Month After Car Accident

Report says driver’s recklessness caused crash injuring Kevin Hart

It has been determined that reckless driving was the cause of Kevin Hart's near-fatal accident in California, which resulted in the star requiring months of physical rehabilitation and major surgeries to fix his back.

The vehicle reportedly crossed the oncoming lane of traffic and descended down the embankment, hitting a vinyl fence and also the tree with enough force to uproot it, sending it rolling down the hill. According to the CHP's investigators, further evidence collected from the Plymouth indicated no one had been wearing a seat belt. Hart and Black both suffered serious back injuries, while Broxterm had minor injuries. "I have nothing but love for Jared and wish him and Rebecca a speedy recovery", Hart said via his attorney, Andrew Brettler.

Hart was in the passenger's seat, while Broxterman was in the back. But even if the passengers had been properly strapped at the time of the crash, cops say the belts "were being worn improperly due to excessive slack in the belts", TMZ reported.

After the star was released from the hospital, his wife Eniko Hart gave a positive update about his health. Earlier this week, a source told ET that Hart is back home and doing physical therapy with a private therapist. It said he violated the law, but did not say whether charges were likely.

The California Highway Patrol had previously confirmed Hart sustained injuries in the 12:45 a.m. crash, reported ABC7. Yet, it looks like Kevin Hart is choosing to see "the upside" of this incident. It took place near Mulholland Highway and Cold Canyon Road.

Hart featured the muscle vehicle on Instagram in August, a gift to himself for his 40th birthday.

According to an Instagram post in July, Hart said he bought the Barracuda for himself on his 40th birthday.
