Actor Robert Forster attends the premiere of Showtime's "I'm Dying Up Here" at DGA Theater on May 31, 2017 in Los Angeles, California.
As per reports, the 'Jackie Brown' actor passed away after a brief battle with brain cancer on Friday (October 12) at his home in Los Angeles.
Forster also starred in "Medium Cool", "Mulholland Drive" and "Twin Peaks". He has two more projects scheduled to be released this year, Steven Spielberg's Amazing Stories and Werewolf. He appeared in a 2013 episode of Breaking Bad, and reprised that role in the movie sequel, El Camino.
Forster had a movie career spanning more than 50 years. I never forgot how kind and generous he was to a young kid just starting out in Hollywood.
Ostensibly, the mild mannered owner of an Albuquerque, New Mexico vacuum cleaner sales and services store, the real skill of Forster's Ed was giving people complete new identities and getting them out of town - for a hefty fee of course.
Our thoughts are with Robert's family and friends during this hard time.
"I had four kids, I took any job I could get", he said in an interview with the Chicago Tribune past year.
Bryan Cranston, Samuel L. Jackson and Pam Grier were among his co-stars who paid tribute to the actor on social media.
"RIP Robert Forster! A truly class act/ Actor!"
