While the Redmi Note 7 launched in the Indian market came with 12MP + 2MP dual rear cameras, the same device in China featured 48MP + 5MP dual camera setup on the rear. The Redmi Note 7 Pro is, however, still available through flash sales. Because in the Redmi Note series, only Redmi Note 7 Pro has been selling like a hot cake because of its camera.
The company will be launching the all-new Redmi Note 7S smartphone in India on May 20th.
If our speculations become true, the Redmi 7S will come with a 6.3-inch FHD+ (2340X1080 pixels) dot notch display with Gorilla Glass protection. One possibility is that India is getting a global version of the Redmi Note 7 rather than an entirely new model.
Under the hood, it could be powered by a Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with up to 4GB RAM. The Redmi Note 7 Pro swaps that 12-megapixel camera for a higher resolution 48-megapixel camera, and uses a 5-megapixel camera for depth sensing.
The company was about to launch Mi A3 this month, but it seems to be Redmi Note 7S first. Connectivity options will include Dual 4G VoLTE, Wifi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, GPS/AGPS/GLONASS, and USB Type C. It will also pack a 4,000mAh battery with Quick Charge 4 support.
Obviously, all these specs are just rumors as of now, so take this information with a pinch of salt, if you will. Redmi hasn't confirmed a launch date as of this writing, but according to teasers on Twitter, it looks like the launch will come very soon now. Now, to further increase the curiosity of fans and enthusiasts, the same manager shared on his Weibo page, the most popular Chinese social platform, a screenshot showing the score obtained by Redmi K20 on AnTuTu Benchmark.
