Buckingham Palace has released Archie Harrison Mountbattan Windsor's birth certificate showing his place of birth.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex kept plans for the birth of their baby private.

Here's five things we learned from it.

A "basic" delivery costs upwards of £15,000 at the maternity hospital.

This is a privilege reserved by those of royal birth, such as Prince Harry's cousins, Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.

And while Archie's birth certificate isn't particularly unique, the occupation of his parents listed on the document certainly are: Harry's occupation is listed as "Prince of the United Kingdom", while Markle's is "Princess of the United Kingdom".

The birth certificate of Archie Harrison, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's child, filed Friday shows that the newest member of the royal family was born at the private Portland Hospital in London, per Page Six. It has been the most unbelievable experience I could ever have possibly imagined.

However, not everyone is as organised.

Archie's birth certificate was registered 11 days after his birth, and just two days shy of Meghan and Harry's first wedding anniversary.

This is not the first time Prince Harry has taken action to protect his wife, Meghan.

Ms Gilroy says that sometimes, when dads come on their own, "they're more likely to make mistakes, perhaps because they're not aware of all the information required".

The young Prince Harry was deeply affected by the increasingly unhappy marriage of his parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, to the extent that he yelled at his father, "I hate you", royal biographer Andrew Morton claimed in his 2011 book, "William and Catherine: Their Lives, Their Wedding". The copy issued for public consumption is a typed-up version of the original.

Other reports stated that Markle planned to have a natural birth which involved frequent acupuncture sessions and reportedly hiring a doula.
