Now, in the era of smartphones, heavyweights such as Apple, Samsung and Huawei strive to make better cameras on their flagship devices year after year.
In terms of optics, the primary camera is a 40 MP sensor similar to the P30 Pro. On the HUAWEI Time-of-Flight (TOF) camera, which is dedicated to capturing the depth of scenes, the company points out that it is able to simulate different levels of bokeh effect, although it is also used for augmented reality functions. Even before the launch, we knew the design so, in this article, we will talk about both the devices in a nutshell. "The Huawei P30 Series is a fundamental breakthrough after decades of digital camera technology development; it will rewrite the rules and reshape everyone's perception of mobile photography", asserted Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer BG, yesterday. The FHD+ (2340×1080) Dewdrop display is uninterrupted by the tiny notch, providing the maximum display area in an aesthetic, symmetrical front view. The P30 does have a headphone jack along with the USB Type-C port. And, the P30 Pro is more or less a refined and slightly improved iteration of the Mate 20 Pro.
Though this news is exciting, it is not surprising for the market experts as, since the launch of P20 and Mate P20 in the market, Huawei has been signaling that it is keenly interested in the Indian mobile market space. Under the hood, there is a 7nm Kirin 980 processor that features Dual NPUs.
There is a 3,650mAH battery underneath that, as mentioned above, supports 22.5W Fast Charging. The smartphone runs Android 9.0 and is powered by a 4000mAh. The 6.47-inch HUAWEI P30 Pro and 6.1-inch HUAWEI P30 come in Breathing Crystal, Amber Sunrise, Aurora, Pearl White and Black. The phone is already up for pre-order, and the price starts at €799 for the 6GB + 128GB variant.
The Huawei P30 Pro features a 4200mAh battery (typical value) and 40W Huawei SuperCharge that charges a device from zero to 70 percent in 30 minutes, keeping the device powered for more than a full day of intensive work. The new phone comes with the reverse wireless charging feature and Huawei's Kirin 980 artificial intelligence chipset.
Interestingly, like Huawei has previously done with the old members of P-series, the OEM is also using the P30 and P30 Pro to debut new camera tech into the industry.
Let's talk about the cameras.
The P30 Pro's ultra-wide angle camera boasts of an aperture of the f/2.2 16mm, a feature it inherited from the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
Huawei also said that by using 10x "hybrid" zoom (they are referring at the fact that the camera is combining optical zoom with data from the other sensors) there's virtually no degradation.
