Apex Legends, a new free-to-play battle royale game from EA and Respawn Entertainment set within theTitanfall universe, was officially announced by Respawn Entertainment's Vince Zampella as Super Bowl LIII was going on today.
The rumours suggest that the game will come to PS4, Xbox One and PC as early as Monday or Tuesday. Yes, a Titanfall battle royale game is said to be coming this Monday, and what's more, it'll be free-to-play!
"Apex Legends will feature classes/heroes with unique abilities, maximum of 60 players per server, maximum of three players per team (trios) to compliment each other", Breslau continued. Like other online competitive games, think Fortnite, Overwatch, etcetera, the game will include cosmetic items and in-game content through loot boxes and transactions. Even if the rumors are untrue, EA is certainly doing something with the name "Apex Legends". Surprisingly, Apex Legends will ditch the Titan mechs that give the series its namesake. Multiple reports have now surfaced that a new Titanfall game is set to be announced and released very soon. He theorized that Repawn has made a decision to switch engines and that they hope that Apex Legends will satisfy fans until Titanfall 3 can be released.
