The Stoopid rapper admitted to racketeering, conspiracy, narcotics trafficking, and firearms violations - everything but that robbery of the Nine Trey gang. He also admitted to helping members of the gang trying to kill a rival gang member, according to court documents.

"I apologize to the Court, to anyone who was hurt, to my family, friends and fans for what I have done and who I have let down", he said in court.

In total, Hernandez pleaded guilty to nine federal felonies including racketeering conspiracy, firearms charges, narcotics trafficking, and violent crimes in aid of racketeering.

In October 2018, Hernandez was given four years' probation after pleading guilty to charges brought against him in 2015 of making and distributing a sexually explicit video of a 13-year-old girl. He originally faced up to life in prison for the charges. He's scheduled to be sentenced on January 24th, 2020 - it's unclear how the guilty plea will affect the terms of his punishment.

The rapper's attorney, Dawn Florio, did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment.

Hernandez plans on cooperating with federal officials "against multiple violent people associated with the same criminal enterprise of which he admits, or will soon apparently admit, being a member", according to court records obtained by NBC New York. Tekashi 6ix9ine, whose real name is Daniel Hernandez, originally said he was not guilty of the charges. "The purposes of the Enterprise included preserving and protecting the power, territory, and profits of the Enterprise through acts involving murder... and threats of violence".

The rapper told the court he had joined the Nine Trey Gangsters, a set of the United Blood Nation street gang, in 2017.

"Showing reckless indifference to others" safety, members of the gang were allegedly involved in robberies and shootings, including a shooting inside the crowded Barclay's Center, and a shooting in which an innocent bystander was hit'.
