"It's so cold right now, it's a struggle to raise money to get a bed for the night, so any food and bedding is a big help", said another sex worker, who wished to remain anonymous.
Meghan and Harry were paying a visit to Bristol charity One25, which supports women involved in sex work, when she got involved with helping to prepare food packages and made a decision to write motivational messages on bananas with a pen. Rumors that she and Kate Middleton are on the outs follow her daily - so does paparazzi.
While Samantha has not yet revealed the extent of what the two books - In the Shadows of the Duchess I and In the Shadows of the Duchess II - will cover, she hinted that at least one of them could touch on their childhood, claiming that "my sister was not raised as an only child that is a PR lie".
"I saw this project this woman had started somewhere in the States on a school lunch programme".
She had been inspired by a canteen manager in the U.S., who wrote similar affirmations on bananas to make school children feel empowered.
But the Good Morning Britain host said, rather than empower the women, Meghan had opened them up to "widespread mockery".
"It's literally like here's Meghan Markle, actress, marries handsome prince, lives in a palace - comes along, picks up a bunch of bananas and says "you're strong" - it's so patronising".
While meeting volunteers and preparing the food packages, Meghan suggested writing positive messages on the bananas, such as 'You are fearless, ' 'You are strong, ' and 'You are loved'.
That was "really stupid", sex worker Nikki told U.K.'s The Sun. "It was the most incredible idea - this small gesture".
A source told the U.S. publication that the former actress wants to focus on being "calm" and having "positive energy" when welcoming her first child. "It's offensive, you know", continued Nikki.
Markle was greeting a group of young children when one particularly precocious boy approached the royal couple and began questioning them.
"Then bang, she met somebody more important, immediately ghosted", Morgan said in 2018. "She's acting great at the moment".
