This week has been a wild one for National Basketball Association rumors, starting with Anthony Davis wanting out of New Orleans. He is now keen to join a team that will allow him to challenge for the National Basketball Association championship.
However, should the Lakers miss out on Davis, Irving is a potential new max free agent that could be on the table for the Lakers. Failed attempts to patch the relationship together led to Irving being traded to the Boston Celtics. They can only make the move after the trade deadline, and are said to be imploring the Pelicans hierarchy to hold on until summer. Los Angeles is reportedly Davis' preferred destination and he shares an agent with LeBron James, while the Celtics have a number of assets they can dangle in front of the Pelicans.
A source close to the Celtics confirmed that Kyrie Irving is genuinely interested in reuniting with his former Cavaliers teammate.
Numerous NBA teams, including those which Irving has played on, have stayed at the Skirvin Hotel over the years but some players refuse to stay there because of its haunted reputation. He believes Davis should sign for the Celtics just to team up with Irving as the point guard might well leave in the summer.
"I'd heard rumors about the Skirvin before, but once we realized that by coupling the deliciously eerie with the fascinatingly relevant, we were on to something big with this one", Cohen said. I heard Kevin Durant and Kyrie to NY.
Fast forward to this week, and there was a report from Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, stating, "there's a growing belief of uncertainty that Kyrie Irving will not re-sign with Boston". "But he's probably going to let me do whatever I want". I don't have any control.
