Disney Debuts Stunning New Trailer For The Lion King

Super Bowl The Lion King Disney Banner

Disney just released a brand new poster for The Lion King remake courtesy of Jon Favreau during this Oscars tonight followed by a new TV spot moments later

Netizens who are fans of "The Lion King" and dogs (of course) got emotional and expressed their urge to hug the puppy.

Also, a new poster has been released that gives us a look at what Mufasa will look like.

There is a debate as to whether the Lion King remake is truly "live-action" since the animals are created using computer-generated imagery. The film is directed by Jon Favreau, who also helmed the visually-incredible 2016 Disney live-action remake The Jungle Book.

The 2019 film stars Donald Glover as Simba.

Back in November of 2018, Disney shared the teaser trailer for the movie and just yesterday during the Oscars, Disney dropped an official trailer dubbed "Long Live The King".

Director Jon Favreau's all-new "The Lion King" journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Seemingly the only animal in the kingdom to take issue with the young cub's existence, an attitude that reflects his personal greed and starkly contrasts with the celebrations surrounding Simba's birth that are shown in this new Lion King TV spot, Scar carries out a deadly plan that changes Simba's life and the lives of everyone in the Pride Lands forever. You can see the new poster below. After meeting two eccentric companions and reuniting with childhood friend Nala, an adult Simba finds himself confronted with the choice of remaining in exile or returning home to end the tyrannical rule of Scar and take his rightful place as King. "Utilizing pioneering filmmaking techniques to bring treasured characters to life in a whole new way, "The Lion King" roars into theaters on July 19, 2019".
