Chelsea Rejected £5m Tottenham Loan Offer For Michy Batshuayi

Everton news deadline day transfer Marco Silva Michy Batshuayi Idrissa Gueye

Everton are hoping to hang on to Idrissa Gueye

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is expected on the move today from Valencia. While Chelsea appear happy to sell Batshuayi this month, they are unlikely to approve of a deal that would see him join their local rivals.

Mauricio Pochettino desperately needs some back-up for Harry Kane after he was ruled out until March with an ankle injury and Tottenham are looking to offload Vincent Janssen to Schalke.

And now that Maurizio Sarri has signed Gonzalo Higuain from Juventus, Michy Batshuayi has no possible future at Stamford Bridge.

Although Batshuayi struggled to make an impression with Valencia, he excelled on loan at Borussia Dortmund last season, scoring seven times in nine Bundesliga starts.

If a deal sheet is submitted to the Premier League before the 11pm deadline, Palace will get an extension until 1am to complete and submit all paperwork. Sources told ESPN FC that the Spanish club wanted the player's situation to be resolved by the close of the window.

Batshuayi - who had been linked with a loan move to Tottenham or Everton - has scored seven goals in 32 Premier League appearances for the Blues.

However, the club are said to want £35 million for him to compensate the £33 million they paid to buy him from Marseille in the 2016/17 season.

Michy Batshayui joined Chelsea in 2016 with very high hopes but all the player has done is move around Europe on various loan spells.

The former Brazil youth global, who turned 25 earlier this month, has an Italian passport.
