Ariana might have kept her fans waiting a little longer than expected and Apple Music may have had a slight issue getting the album out there, but that didn't stop the release going straight to the top of the iTunes US download chart.

First she exposes why she won't be performing at Sunday's Grammys. In a subsequent Twitter post, Grande says she "offered three different songs" to perform.

Variety also claimed that Ari won't even be attending the Grammys this Sunday, even though she's nominated for two awards: Best Pop Vocal Performance ("God Is a Woman") and Best Pop Vocal Album (Sweetener).

Recently, she's attracted headlines over a Japanese tattoo mis-hap, as well as calling out the Grammy's for "lying" by saying she turned down a performance offer at this Monday's awards ceremony.

"Ariana did not appreciate that she did not have complete creative control over her Grammy appearance or the song she would like to sing".

"It was when my creativity and self expression was stifled by you, that I decided not to attend", she added.

"It's about collaboration. It's about feeling supported".

Ariana Grande, as well as dropping her fifth record thank u, next, has today released a video for new single 'break up with your girlfriend, i'm bored', which both features an *NSYNC sample and is such a VIBE.

Rappers Kendrick Lamar and and Drake lead the nominations with eight and seven nominations respectively.

The album dropped just after midnight on February 8 on Spotify, but over on iTunes only the previously released tracks were available.
