TMZ reported that police received a call informing them that Kelly was at the club and there was a warrant for his arrest, but after officers arrived at the venue and made contact with the singer, they were informed there actually was no warrant.

The recent Lifetime documentary series details the years leading up to and following the six-year legal saga that culminated with Kelly being acquitted of child pornography charges by a Cook County jury in 2008.

While Kelly was singing about not wanting to hurt anybody during his birthday party at the nightclub, activists gathered outside his West Side recording studio, marching for the young women they claim he sexually abused.

Kelly has denied all sexual abuse allegations against him. Both Kelly and the girl denied that the video depicted them, and no assault charges were ever brought against Kelly as a result of the tape.

Many on social media were appalled to see the person appearing to be Kelly partying amid the serious allegations against him.
