She added, "People do change when they get married".
But now two insiders from the show have refuted the reports, claiming that there are no plans for the former Hollywood star to return.
Just one example of the change was highlighted by reports last week that suggested the Duchess of Sussex had banned Prince Harry from drinking alcohol and anything with caffeine in it, including tea and coffee. In the episode, viewers see Zane marry onscreen love interest Mike Ross (Patrick Adams).
At one point, Prince William is spotted fixing his scarf, concentrating deeply on the task in hand while the mum-to-be turns back to look at him and looks as though she is about to say something.
Not to mention, Meghan seemed more than happy with the way she ended that chapter of life when she talked about her retirement from acting during her engagement interview with Harry a year ago.
In terms of payment for appearing on the show, NBC will make a donation to charity.
Both NBC and Kensington Palace have been approached for a comment.
"The show has not made a multi-million dollar charity donation offer to Meghan to return for a cameo", the insider stated.
A source told Express.co.uk: "Considering he's been a pretty brutal drinker since he was a young teenager, it's quite an achievement".
Markle's appearance could potentially fit into the story nicely, with her being happily pregnant, and enjoying her new life living in the UK. Her last episode aired in the United Kingdom in April previous year, just a month before her Windsor Castle wedding to Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex.
"No final figure has yet been arrived at but negotiations are likely to be opened in the very near future. I've heard sums ranging from two to six million being kicked around, and that sounds a lot - but it would be one of the biggest marketing coups in TV history", the source told Daily Star.
