Kris Bryant talks smack about St. Louis

The Cubs are now hosting their yearly Cubs Convention and Kris Bryant was a featured guest on former Cub turned front office aid Ryan Dempster's late night talk show for the fans.

Bryant and the Cubs don't make their first appearance in St. Louis until May 31. And Kris Bryant is sure to hear it from the Busch Stadium faithful.

Cardinal fans wasted no time jumping on social media to voice their frustration with Bryant's comments. But catcher Yadier Molina, a Cardinal for his entire 15-year career, was hardly amused, and he took to Instagram to share his feelings.

I have known Bob Nightengale and Buster Olney for many years and have always had a good professional relationship with both. The show is somewhat of a farce where Host and former Cub Ryan Dempster attempts to get players to open up and tell stories and more personal anecdotes that give fans an "inside look" at the way players tick. "There should be respect and you should play and compete with respect. only stupid players and losers make comments like the ones made by bryant and dempster". He posted photos of Bryant and Dempster with this caption: "All stars, elite players and leaders of their teams do not speak bad about any city". When it comes to quotes, the 2016 National League MVP usually errs on the side of vanilla. But, it's been another slow market and Bryce Harper, Manny Machado, Craig Kimbrel, and other top free agents are still available.

Eventually, the comments reached the internet and the Cardinals players themselves began to respond, starting with St. Louis reliever John Brebbia who said, "Cry me a river, loser".

"I remember when I was getting traded", he said, "and they asked me, 'Hey, how about St. Louis?' I said, 'Zero chance, pal". That series will take place in Chicago, where fans will have Bryant's back. No way.' I wouldn't even go there as a free agent.
