Highly anticipated: Anthem doesn't launch until next month, but BioWare has its pre-release demo ready to go, and you can download it starting today.

If you want to play with a friend, there is a way to gift a VIP demo code.

For now, you'll only be able to join the VIP demo if you've pre-ordered the game.

Xbox One, Windows PC, and PS4 Anthem players can preload the demo from January 23 via the Microsoft Store, EA's Origin service, and PS Store respectively.

The Anthem demo comes to an end at 2am on Monday, January 28. Otherwise, if you don't mind waiting a week, there's an Anthem free demo that will be open to all from February 1 to February 3.

This Friday, 25th January, people who have either pre-ordered Anthem or who subscribe to EA/Origin Access, will get a chance to play some of Anthem in the comfort of their own homes before anyone else. However, Anthem does not support cross-system play. The demo is downloaded via the Origin, PlayStation, or Xbox store depending on whichever platform you're playing it on.

"Dive into the world of Anthem and take the Ranger and one other javelin for a test run". Hudson admitted that the team designed "Anthem" in an attempt to address these specific challenges by trying new and different things, integrating multiplayer missions and single-player story and character into a "connective narrative experience".

Anthem is set to be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC on February 22, 2019. The studio has a few more surprises ahead of launch, however, like news that the game will have a social hub. If you have EA Access, you can play the Xbox One and PC version on February 15.
