Salman Khan tops Forbes India celebrity list, again

The 32-year-old Indian actress was placed fourth in the Forbes India Celebrity 100 list with her earnings reaching Rs 112.80 crore during 2018.

With no movie releases in 2017, Shah Rukh Khan, who was at the second spot on the 2017 Forbes India Celebrity list, fell out of the top 10. If that's not exciting then this will be - Deepika Padukone has moved up seven places from #11 a year ago to #4 now.

India cricket captain Virat Kohli is on the second spot with total earnings of Rs 228.09 crore. Deepika was a major success this year with Padmaavat breaking major box office records.

Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is at the sixth place with Rs 97.5 crore followed by Amitabh Bachchan at Rs 96.97 crore.

Ranveer Singh is number eight with Rs 84.67 crores and Ajay Devgn ranks tenth on the list with Rs 74.5 crores.

According to Forbes, this was "a lucrative year with cumulative earnings of ₹3,140.25 crores".

Cricketers Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Sachin Tendulkar have bagged the fifth (Rs 101.77 crore) and ninth (Rs 80 crore) positions.

Priyanka Chopra slipped from last year's seventh rank to the 49th position this year, while Shah Rukh Khan slipped by 11 positions, standing at No 13 this year. It is Rajinikanth who leads among the souther celebrities and he has been placed at the 14th spot. The Bollywood superstar raked in Rs 253.25 crore during 2018.

The highest earning women celebrity in India, Deepika Padukone earns more than her co-actor Ranveer Singh, whom she married recently.

Fifteen celebrities on the list are from South India - Tamil and Telugu film industries have seven actors each, while Kerala has one.
