The Raiders (3-11) are slated to host the Broncos (6-8) in an AFC West showdown at 8:15 p.m. ET Monday.

Former Buffalo Bills quarterback Nathan Peterman has a new home.

Peterman is allowed to remain on Oakland's practice squad for two seasons if he is not signed to a team's 53-man roster. Gruden must still feel that Peterman has plenty to offer. "Hopefully we can take him into the offseason program, and see if we can restart him, and get him going".

Peterman, 24, has started four games in the National Football League during his career. For his career, Peterman has 548 yards and three touchdowns to 12 interceptions in eight games.

Peterman is ready to walk in and be a contributor from day one.

The Bills drafted Peterman in the fifth round (171st overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft out of the University of Pittsburgh. As our Jared Dubin once wrote, "his 32.5 passer rating is several points worse than it would have been if he had spiked the ball on every play". According to multiple reports, the Raiders have signed Peterman after working him out on Wednesday.

"He's on the practice squad right now, I want to reiterate that to everybody", Gruden said.
