Mr Giuliani left out a space between a full stop and the following word within a tweet, which caused the text to become a link.
Former New York City mayor Rudy Guiliani has mostly been in the news as of late for his legal work for Donald Trump amid the ever-spiraling federal investigation into alleged Russian interference in the 2016 elections.
This tweet just goes further to prove that Mr. Giuliani is illiterate when it comes to social media and the internet in general.
His current lawyer, the once respected Rudy Giuliani, is also singing for his supper, debasing himself in defence of the president, as every White House employee is required to do these days.
Twitter essentially said that's ludicrous as it can not and does not edit tweets. Giuliani had unintentionally left out a space between a period and the beginning of another sentence that began with "In", which also happens to be the internet country code for India. His "evidence" for this was the fact that the second time in that same tweet where he made the same "no space after a period" typo - creating "Helsinki.Either" - it did not turn into a link.
"I wanted something. bold", he said. "Instead he tweeted about it and created a conspiracy theory against Twitter". CNET rounds up some of the tweeted replies to Giuliani in that vein (read them here), like this one: "Did you try unplugging it then plugging it back in?"
Giuliani Misses a Space on Twitter and Things Spiral
One Twitter user previously claimed credit for taking advantage of this window of opportunity.
Velazquez told The Post that Giuliani's follow-up tweet "speaks to the impulsive nature of the administration where they're not thoughtful in anything they put out there, especially on Twitter".
Giuliani has actually made this mistake before. The first tweet references Mueller's recent filings against Paul Manafort, Trump's former campaign boss, for lying (again) to the Special Counsel's Office.
Now, below the anti-Trump text in slightly smaller font, is a headline about Mueller and Flynn that links to a relevant Reddit thread.
Tonight, Rudy Giuliani tweeted his anger over the prank, and proved he has no idea how it happened.
