Off are: Indianapolis (3-5), Arizona (2-6), New York Giants (1-7), Jacksonville (3-5), Philadelphia (4-4), Cincinnati (5-3).
Sam Darnold faces the Dolphins for the second time, looking for a much better outing than the one he had in Week 2 when NY lost 20-12. Michel is the only runner on the Patriots roster who they trust between the tackles and his ability to do so will keep the strong Packer interior of Kenny Clark and Mike Daniels of teeing off on Brady and disrupting his line of vision. Additionally, it went 48-34 on all A-rated picks last season, and $100 bettors who followed it the past two seasons are up almost $4,000.
The primary reason for that disparity is a substantial difference in the quality of supporting cast the two have played with over the course of their respective careers.
The Packers' struggles aside, there doesn't figure to be anything lackluster about this one: it's Brady vs. Rodgers, a matchup between two Hall of Fame-bound quarterbacks that, in and of itself, constitutes must-see TV. The Packers get a 1st down.
The way to beat Brady is also to pressure him up the middle.
If Brady has time, he will pick apart nearly any defense.
The Patriots have been playing better than the Packers on the defensive side of the ball this year, recording an interception in each game so far this season, including a pick six by Devin McCourty last week to ice the game against the Buffalo Bills. The Packers start two rookie corners and will have a new safety in the mix. If Clark and Daniels continue their fine play of a week ago, it will give Pettine a lot of options while choosing when and where to blitz. But, the Patriots stayed focused as they held on for a 31-17 win over the Packers. He totaled 61 rushing yards.
Edelman finished the game with 104 yards on nine receptions.
Rodgers did not play in that game as he was injured.
The Packers defense holds the Patriots to a quick three-and-out. It is up to Rodgers and the Green Bay receivers to take advantage of these weaknesses. Cobb is questionable again with a hamstring injury but seems to be improving. According to ESPN statistics, he had 3 receptions for 101 yards on the night and averaged 33.7 yards per catch. Graham has yet to find consistency in this offense and last week he had only one reception.
If that's the case, it could mean more looks for rookie wideouts Marquez Valdes-Scantling or Equanimeous St.
