India vs West Indies, 5th ODI

India play the fifth ODI against West Indies on November 1 in Thiruvananthapuram

Jadeja claimed four wickets with his left-arm spin as India romped to their target in 14.5 overs to take the five-match series 3-1. Unperturbed by the fall of Dhawan's wicket, Rohit Sharma (63 not out) and skipper Virat Kohli (33 not out) played sensibly and guided India to a comfortable victory.

"It was a clinical performance. Credit has to go to the bowling unit, pitching the ball in the right place", Kohli said in a post-match presentation. Wanted to bowl first anyway.

The Indian batsmen are in great form led by their skipper Kohli who has scored three hundreds in his last three matches against West Indies. Ravindra Jadeja starred with the ball before Rohit registered yet another half-century as India won by mine wickets.

After Windies upset the apple cart in the second and third ODI to secure a tie and a win respectively, India made a comeback with a bang in the fourth ODI. Previously Mohammad Azharuddin, Rahul Dravid, and MS Dhoni had won all tosses of the series but these were played outside India.

Since the World Cup win in 2011 at home, India have lost only two bilateral ODI series at home.

Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Whenever I come on the field, try and give my best. "It won't happen all the time, but when I'm going, I want to keep going longer", said Kohli.

The return of Jasprit Bumrah and Bhuvneshwar Kumar has intensified Indian pace attack while youngster Khaleel Ahmed also found his form in the 4th ODI where he picked three key wickets and dismantled West Indies batting.

During his unbeaten innings at the Sports Hub on Thursday, Rohit went past the mark of 200 ODI sixes, becoming the seventh cricketer to do so and the fastest in terms of innings taken.

The Indians have made a decision to go ahead with an unchanged combination.
