Chief Justice Roberts transfers Kavanaugh complaints to 10th Circuit

Kavanaugh to hear first arguments after bitter confirmation fight

Trump nominated Brett Kavanaugh in July

Chief Justice John Roberts referred judicial misconduct complaints about newly confirmed Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 10th Circuit in Colorado, the Washington Post reported Wednesday afternoon.

"Seriously, Hillary?" was the reaction of Republican Congressman Steve Scalise, who was seriously wounded past year when a shooter - who was a registered Democrat - targeted a Congressional Republican baseball practice in Virginia.

While presidents are limited to two terms and governors, congressmen, senators and city council members can be voted out of office, Supreme Court appointments are permanent-which means that Kavanaugh, a 53-year-old Generation X-er, might still be on the Court in 2050 if he lives as long as Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg (now 85).

Nominations could be particularly tricky with the bad blood built up during the Kavanaugh confirmation process still weighing on senators. It was clear Democrats would lose, and a real victory was never feasible since the measure would have died anyway in the Republican-run House.

Democratic aides acknowledge that their legislative hopes will likely be dashed by a Republican-controlled Senate, should the GOP keep control of that chamber, as well as President Trump.

"I wish you could get a little bit more conservative", Trump said to King, who was in attendance at the rally. Rasmussen Reports updates are also available on Twitter or Facebook. The survey was conducted by telephone October 4-7 and had a 3.8 percent margin of error. Field work for all Rasmussen Reports surveys is conducted by Pulse Opinion Research, LLC.

The second, filed September 27, claims Kavanaugh violated the judiciary's code of conduct by 'engaging in a public and partisan campaign of lies to cover-up and hide sexual misconduct and crimes he committed in the past'.

More people buying the Trump administration's so-called junk plans "would raise the cost of coverage for people with health conditions who remain in the ACA-compliant market", according to the Kaiser analysis.

But the media are now engaging in a rather incredible gaslighting tactic: they're claiming that even as top Democrats wink and nod at the mob, there's no such thing as a Leftist mob. Kavanaugh's confirmation gave the Republican president a political victory ahead of crucial November 6 congressional elections.

"Those who step forward to serve our country deserve a fair and dignified evaluation, not a campaign of political and personal destruction based on lies and deception", he said.

He said it was unprecedented for a new justice to face such a situation.

The FBI did not interview either Ford or Kavanaugh about the allegations. Speaking in Iowa, President Trump told a crowd of 9,000 that the Democrats were an "angry mob" pushing "policies of anger, division and destruction".
