With anticipation continuing to amplify for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Activision and Treyarch deliver a new gameplay trailer for its Blackout Battle Royale mode. Previously, players got their first look at the mode's map, which looks quite large. He didn't go into specifics, but it sounds like we may see a lower average frame rate in Blackout on some systems compared to other multiplayer modes.
Set to the tune of "Welcome To the Party" by Diplo, the trailer features two minutes of action that you can expect from the mode, whether you're dropping a rocket launch on a vehicle filled with enemy soldiers, or letting a Monkey Bomb do the dirty work for you. That's just my guess though, it will be interesting to see some analysis once the Blackout beta lands in a few days time. Therefore, after testing and deliberation, things are subject to change. Starting on September 14, those who pre-ordered the game on PlayStation 4 can check out Blackout for themselves.
A big part of this will be down to the fact that Blackout now supports up to 80 players on a single map, which was a technical challenge for those behind the Call of Duty engine.
Fight through classic Black Ops locales while playing as some of your favorite characters from across the series.
Initially announced back in May during the initial "Black Ops 4" reveal, "Blackout" serves as the series' first foray into the battle royale genre, and it will have its own separate beta mode that begins on Sep. 10.
