While the end of last week was all fun and games for DC fans (with the reveal of Joaquin Phoenix's Joker), but for a lot of gaming fans, things weren't so fun.
In a statement posted to Twitter (shown below), Telltale explained "multiple potential partners" have expressed an interest in seeing The Final Season through to completion - with only two of the episodic series' final four episodes now out in the wild.
This comes after Melissa Hutchinson, who's voiced Clementine since the first season of the game began in 2012, released a weekend statement saying that the final season would mostly likely be left unfinished. It would be interesting to see where the IPs and staff land moving forward. They had closed their majority studio and had canceled upcoming releases of The Wolf Among Us 2, Stranger Things, and the remaining episodes of the final season of The Walking Dead, which infuriated many a fan since many had pre-ordered the season expecting completion. "We had a list of possible story ideas from Netflix, and seeing Will's side of the events of season one was the concept that jumped out to me the most", Houser explained. Unfortunately, we ran out of time trying to get there, ' Telltale chief executive Pete Hawley, who took on the role less than a year ago, confirmed in a press release.
