Instead, Samsung has embedded the sensor in the power button on the side of the frame, much like with the recent Galaxy J6+.

Samsung is rumoured to launch the Galaxy S10 as its first smartphone with an in-screen fingerprint sensor. This reiterate the company's focus on offering great mid-range smartphones, a segment that's increasingly getting competitive as the years go by.

"Samsung is committed to delivering meaningful innovation to all consumers across the Galaxy family, no matter who they are or where they are in the world" said DJ Koh, President and CEO of IT & Mobile Communications Division at Samsung Electronics. Why Samsung would choose to put such a new feature into a relatively obscure phone model is a bit puzzling.

Note that these will reportedly use LCD displays rather than OLEDs, but the fingerprint reader is an optical unit (current optical readers work only on OLED screens).

The new Galaxy A7 has just been revealed and arrives with this radical new photographic feature. Samsung Galaxy A7 will also support super slow-motion video recording at 960 fps.

The back of the Galaxy A7 sees a glass panel which is clean except for the triple cameras arranged vertically on the top left corner.

The rumoured specs of the cameras are a 24MP main camera, 8MP 120-degree wide-angle lens, plus two zoom lenses that offer 10MP and 5MP resolution. Additionally, the smartphone comes with a 24-megapixel fixed-focus camera sensor at the front along with an f/2.0 aperture and an LED flash.

The triple-camera setup includes a 24-megapixel autofocus sensor with f/1.7 aperture, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone is powered by an octa-core Samsung Exynos 7885 processor clocked at 2GHz. The company is also touting Dolby Atmos audio and AR Emoji features. This is coupled with either 4GB or 6GB. If that is not enough then you can also expand the storage up to 512GB via microSD card. You can install all apps onto the memory card and you will also be able to move all the content to the memory card.
