Early reports suggested Miller had died from a suspected drug overdose, and tributes quickly poured in from his friends, fans, and hip-hop peers after the news hit headlines.

Miller, who was 26, was found dead in his home yesterday after an apparent overdose. They performed together at Grande's One Love Manchester concert in May of past year - a benefit for people injured during the terrorist attack on her concert in the city - and were seen together in March at Madonna's Oscar afterparty.

Ariana Grande has turned off comments on her social media after being blamed for Mac Miller's death.

Ariana hasn't yet spoken out about the rapper's sudden death, but insiders told ET that the singer is "heartbroken" and "devastated".

Ariana addressed the breakup in an Instagram story, writing of Miller: 'I respect and adore [Malcolm] endlessly and am grateful to have him in my life in any form'. "Pete is unbelievable, he's so solid, and he's like, totally Ariana's rock, her shoulder to cry on, support system, voice of reason, best friend, everything", a source close to Ariana EXCLUSIVELY told HollywoodLife. "Pls take care of yourself", Grande tweeted after Miller was arrested and charged with a DUI in May.

The 2 split in May, and it was revealed he was battling substance abuse issues.
