Mohamed Salah Wins FIFA Puskas Award For Soccer’s Best Goal Of 2017-18

Despite not looking very sharp this season, Salah has three goals and two assists and has achieved the same number as he had by this stage last season.

Nevertheless, Salah did have the opportunity to take the stage and give a victory speech when he was declared the victor of the FIFA Puskas award.

"Mo Salah, Puskas award???".

Football fans are blowing up after Liverpool star Mohamed Salah won the FIFA Puskas Award for the goal of the season.

At a star-studded gala night in London on Monday night, the FIFA FIFPro World XI 2018 was announced, with some big names missing out while there were some questionable inclusions on the other hand to leave fans baffled.

The Puskás Award is decided by a fan vote, who choose the best goal out of a shortlist of 10 picked by Federation Internationale de Football Association legends.

The Egypt worldwide somehow landed the prize for the best goal of last season, despite Gareth Bale scoring one of the greatest Champions League goals of all time in the final.

"But I'm very happy and very proud, thank you, everyone, who voted for me".

Salah was handed the gong for his curling strike against Merseyside rivals Everton though missed out on FIFA's The Best.

Meanwhile, former Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois won the goalkeeper of the year prize, beating Leicester's Kasper Schmeichel and Hugo Lloris of Tottenham Hotspur and World Cup-winning France.
