While his exploits in the Edgbaston Test match against India won him applause from all quarters, James Anderson had no such luck in the game of golf on Sunday.

Anderson takes one in the face!

Fresh from the win against India in a heart wrenching test series which was wrapped early within fourth day, James with team mate Stuart Broad went to relax by playing Golf. When Anderson attempted to shoot the ball back onto the fairway, the ball bounced back and hit his face. The hosts lead the five match series 1-0 after their thrilling 31-run victory in the first Test.

Broad, who was there when the incident took place, uploaded the video on his official Twitter handle and said England's highest wicket-taker "is perfectly fine".

Anderson is the leader of England's bowling attack and an injury at this point in time would have been disastrous for the home team as they gear up for the second Test against India starting August 9. Jimmy's partner Stuart Broad, shared the video on social media.

England will already be missing Ben Stokes for the Lord's Test as the all-rounder as the all-rounder is expected to appear at Bristol Crown Court today over charges of affray following a the much-talked-about street brawl outside a nightclub last September.

The second Test will be played at Lord's where England haven't had a lot of success off late. Anderson recoils from the impact, whilst Broad can be heard to exclaim, "Oh no!"
