In another scene, political lobbyist Roger Stone warns Moore about attempts to impeach Trump. This is going to be a must-watch.
Fahrenheit 11/9 will see Moore sink his teeth into the phenomenon of Donald Trump and all the unusual things that have come with it - the emergence of the alt-right, total reversals of decades of American foreign policy, and a society more disillusioned than ever. Moore links Trump's political victory to numerous country's biggest crises and issues, including the rise of white supremacists, as the featured trailer above is highlighted with Moore spraying water from Flint, Michigan on a governor's home, and interviewing survivors of the Parkland shooting.
Provocative documentarian Michael Moore (Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11, Sicko) is back with Fahrenheit 11/9, a look at America under the ludicrous presidency of Donald Trump. No details of an Irish release are public yet, but we're absolutely dying to see this one. In June of 2016, Michael Moore famously and publicly predicted that Trump would indeed win the White House in November by winning the states of Michigan, Wisconsin and Pennsylvania.
Fahrenheit 11/9 will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in early September. "This is the movie that will end the madness".
He also added that journalism schools do not teach students how to handle an "authoritarian leader" and hopes that this film shows viewers the "danger" of President Trump where the execution of their jobs is concerned. "Our media has no idea what it is up against". This puts us all in grave danger.
"Fuck hope. Seriously, fuck hope", Moore declared. Now, Moore has found a new form for this highly original title with Fahrenheit 11/9. "Hope gives you permission to let someone else do the work". Hope leads people to believe that tax returns, or a pee tape, or the Federal Bureau of Investigation or an adult film star will save the country. "Hope, and the passivity that comes with it, is what helped get us here to begin with".
Fahrenheit 11/9 hits theaters on September 21.
