Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson: 'I'll be ready for Premier League opener'

Liverpool confident Sadio Mané will commit long-term future to club

We don't need to replace Coutinho – Klopp

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp hopes Alisson can be the missing link for Liverpool and replicate his form from last term.

Liverpool have their penultimate pre-season game against Napoli in Dublin at the aviva Stadium on Saturday and Alisson is expected to play for his new club for the first time.

Liverpool have secured Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino with new five-year contracts in recent months that have doubled their salaries and the club are in regular dialogue with Mané's representatives about the Senegal worldwide following suit.

While he's yet to make his first appearance in a Liverpool shirt, the Brazilian has now joined up with his new teammates following his involvement in the World Cup.

The 25-year-old Brazil global joined from AS Roma last month, smashing the world-record transfer fee for a goalkeeper in a deal worth up to £64 million.

Adam and Shaqiri were part of the Potters side relegated from the Premier League last season, and the midfielder feels the Swiss could have done more to aid the team's fight against the drop.

After the day's training, Alisson said: "It has been a great day which I had been looking forward to".

Summer signing Alisson has predicted that it will not be hard for him to settle into life at Liverpool.

"I've also already worked with 'Mo Mo" (Salah), the three of them will be very important for me to settle into the squad. "He's Phil Coutinho. He has a specific style of play, tactically an outstanding player, can play as the wing, the 10, the 8 - really great", he said.

"It's also showed me that the team are very well adapted to it and everyone seems to be physically fit, not to say technically - they're all great players after all."
But, they've bought in Alisson Becker.
