Fetus found on board American Airlines plane after flight from Charlotte

A dead fetus was found in the bathroom of a commercial American Airlines plane on Tuesday morning.

The plane was removed from the tarmac Tuesday night for further investigation, according to the report. One of the attendants noticed a large amount of toilet paper in one of the plane's lavatory toilets.

An under-developed fetus was discovered on an American Airlines flight at LaGuardia Airport.

"As we continue to learn more about this tragic and sensitive situation, we are actively cooperating with law enforcement in their investigation".

A statement from LaGuardia Airport said flights at Terminal B may experience delays due to an "out of service aircraft".

Staff made the discovery on Tuesday and immediately called for help.

The Executive Director for Public Affairs in the chief medical examiner's office Aja Worthy-Davis released the following statement to WSOC.

MailOnline reported that AA, Port Authority Police and Queens District Attorney's Office are now working together to investigate what happened to the fetus.
