Zaha, the 25-year-old former England global who recently switched his allegiance to Ivory Coast, has been Palace's best performer since earning them a Premier League promotion back in 2013 and although the winger had a failed stint with Manchester United, his second spell at Selhurst Park helped the Eagles to retain top-flight status defying odds.
Wilfried Zaha is wanted by Chelsea.
This has left Chelsea with a clear run at Zaha and the newspaper says Palace will do business if they submit an offer close to their asking price before the transfer window slams shut on Thursday evening.
The 25-year-old has now rediscovered his best form and was the talisman for the Eagles the last term scoring nine goals and notching up five assists as well.
Zaha is a man in demand as the transfer window for Premier League clubs to make signings enters its final stretch.
The Englishman's failed spell at Manchester United prompted a return to Palace, but Zaha was vital in his side's quest to avoid relegation last season.
With Chelsea preparing a bid of around £30 million for Zaha, Spurs are set to offer Palace a fee of £45 million to bring him to North London.
'I spoke to Wilf yesterday and he certainly gave me no indication it was true about wanting to quit the club, ' Hodgson told talkSPORT.
"Everyone likes him. Everyone admires him, he knows that and I think he likes and respects the club as well".
"A few years have moved on and he's established himself even more now as one of the most talented players in his position in the league".
