The husband of adult film actress Stormy Daniels has filed for divorce in Texas. The New York Daily News and other media outlets reported that Crain, who also has worked in the adult entertainment business and goes by the name Brendon Miller, is her third husband.
Crain's seeking protection for their daughter because he claims Stormy wanted to bring her on tour where the 7-year-old would be on a bus with other adult performers and at risk for both physical and emotional harm.
A week after her arrest at a strip club in OH, a "petition for divorce was filed". Avenatti added that Daniels was asking for privacy "for the sake of her family".
In his 13-page divorce petition, Mr Crain alleges adultery as grounds for the divorce and seeks sole custody of the couple's seven-year-old daughter and child support from Ms Clifford, as well as a financial award and disproportionate share of the couple's community property. Their daughter is believed to have been born in 2011.
Daniels, 39, came to worldwide attention by asserting publicly that she had a sexual encounter with Trump in 2006, a decade before he was elected president.
A woman answering the phone in the Terrell, Texas, office of Mr Crain's attorney, Rothwell Pool, said he had no comment since the case was now in litigation.
Trump has denied having had an affair with Daniels, saying she was paid to stop "false and extortionist accusations".
Michael Cohen, Trump's former personal attorney, arranged a nondisclosure agreement in the weeks leading up to the 2016 presidential election, paying Daniels $130,000. Daniels is suing Trump to invalidate a non-disclosure agreement that prevents her from discussing their alleged 2006 sexual encounter.
TMZ has announced that Glen filed for divorce just one week after she was arrested at a strip club.
