Lahiri would be ruing the two double, but for which he may have been in strong contention on the TPC Potomac at Avenel Farm.

A spectacular chip-in and four putts beyond 15 feet were among his seven birdies, the 14-time Major victor sharing 11th on five-under 135 after 36 holes at TPC Potomac course, only four strokes behind USA co-leaders Brian Gay, Beau Hossler and Ryan Armour.

After a brief rain delay, Park finished off her South Korean compatriot with a 10-foot birdie putt on the par-4 16th hole.

Woods shot a five-under 65 on Friday, equaling his lowest round of the season. But, he was much closer than that at one stage. The plan was to do my own thing and try to make birdies and keep pushing.

"It was frustrating because I played better than what my score indicates", Woods said.

"Played in front of Tiger", said Ancer, who teed off with Landry in the pairing immediately before Woods and Joel Dahmen.

Molinari matched the 18-hole course record with the lowest final round by a US PGA victor this season, his career low on the American tour by two shots.

Molinari picked the PGA Tour because he was No. 123 in the FedEx Cup and wanted to improve his position, especially after missing the Tour Championship by what amounted to one shot past year.

Ryan Armour (68) and Zac Blair (66) were two shots behind. He has five wins internationally.

American Sihwan Kim (70) and Pavit Tangkamolprasert (71) of Thailand shared third place at the 270 Phoenix Gold Golf and Country Club.

Toney Penna was the last Italian to win on the PGA Tour in 1947.

Armour closed with a 68 to finish second, earning one of four spots to the British Open.

Nine strokes behind Ryu entering the day, the 19-year-old Hataoka almost pulled off one of the biggest comebacks in LPGA Tour history.

"It felt good to start my ball on the lines again". "It was a lot easier than I thought (it would be)".

Tiger Woods putts on the sixth green during the third round of the Quicken Loans National golf tournament, Saturday, June 30, 2018, in Potomac, Md. "I thought something in the mid-60s would have been a good score and I was able to shoot that".

"Amazing", Molinari said. "I've always said that the next stage of my career would have been to win over here, and to do it in this fashion, it's even better". It could have been better, but Jazz played really well today.

Woods then made four birdies in a row at the fourth through seventh holes, none longer than 12 feet. He shot 65-69 on the weekend at the Players Championship but was in position to shoot lower in both rounds at TPC Sawgrass. He found nine (of 14) fairways and 10 greens in regulation, losing strokes off-the-tee and around-the-green, but gaining 1.236 on approach, No. 1 in the latter with a cumulative 7.265. A possible top-5 finish turned into a tie for 11th.

Europeon - Alex Noren won the French Open by one shot after a final round 4-under 67 in Paris. "That was ridiculous how hard it was", Woods said.
