Secondly, Durant probably shouldn't have been quite so condescending to McCollum on his own podcast. He'd already told Durant that personally when he was a guest on the "Pull Up with CJ McCollum" podcast.
But, in defending himself, Durant tried to broaden the conversation and attempted to twist outsiders' perspectives on why he does what he does, and says what he says on social media. I mean, I know y'all trying to make me look insane and discredit me and strip me of my credibility. I just did your [expletive] podcast.
"So I'm the upset one because he responded to something I said". Bleacher Report's Joseph Zucker added that the Trail Blazers do not have all the tools necessary to give the Warriors a run for their money. Losing Durant will not take away the Warriors' status as a legitimate title contender since they still have the core of Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson. I understand that KD has been upset with C.J.'s commentary on the Warriors over the last couple years, but those types of comments were obviously going to get a rise out of McCollum. He said it was overblown, and he wondered why people don't think he should be expressing his thoughts on social media. Durant surely knows what it's like to be on a good team that just can't get over the hump, so he's enjoying his time on top. Things escalated between the two players when CJ McCollum responded to a tweet with this. "I don't know if I was more mad than when you wanted to go".
Durant's always been one of the most famous athletes on the planet, yet he continues to occasionally open himself up in ways that most global celebrities don't. I'm saying they are absolutely planning their offseason around him. It's going to be too much of one thing with y'all.
Then Durant started going back and forth with a bunch of other random Twitter users, only to later delete the tweets. You can't be upset about this. I know what's important. I gotta play you MFers all the time anyways as it is, over and over again. But I see what you doing. But if you feel a way about it, then, I mean, I don't understand why.
