George Clooney has been released from the hospital after a motorcycle accident on the Italian island of Sardinia, according to his representative. Clooney was then flung off of his scoot 20 feet into the air, reported TMZ, before he flew into a car's windshield that shattered his helmet.
Sardinian newspaper La Nuova posted a picture from the scene showing Clooney's scooter, a Mercedes auto and a fire extinguisher with the caption: "George Clooney in hospital: With his bike he ended up hitting a vehicle that was turning".
Clooney was transported to the John Paul II Hospital emergency room, but his injuries were not serious, La Stampa reported.
Clooney is a Northern Kentucky native.
The photo of the reported incident shows minimal damage to the motorbike or auto, but a fire extinguisher can be seen in the right hand corner.

The actor has been filming a new Hulu series in Sardinia, Italy. Responding Carabinieri officer Lt. Col. Alberto Cicognani told the Post that Clooney was thrown over the scooter's handlebars by the impact but told officers at the scene that he was "fine".
'George was treated and released from an Olbia hospital.
