Blackmagic Design Releases $699 eGPU for New MacBook Pros

A new Mac Mini is finally on the way

Apple Watch - Apple is working on two new Apple Watch models for 2018 that will have bigger displays and enhanced heart rate detection features.

Intel's 8th-generation Coffee Lake processors have finally made it onto the MacBook Pro after months of lag time behind its competitors.

Apple's 13-inch MacBook Pros don't come with graphics card, which are useful for power-hungry tasks, like photo and video editing, as well as playing games.

The 13-inch MacBook Pro now tops out at 2 TB of SSD storage, a 2.7 GHz (4.8 GHz with Turbo Boost) i7 quad-core processor, and 16 GB of RAM.

The 2015 15-inch Macbook Pro. The 15-inch model can be configured with up to 4 TB of SSD storage, while the 13-inch model is limited to a maximum of 2 TB.

Each product is expected to get upgraded chips, which many are speculating to be new Intel eigth-generation processors, while the iMac could see 'significant display-performance upgrades, ' according to 9to5Mac.

Lastly, the new MacBook Pros come with Apple's third-generation of butterfly switch keyboard that promises to be quieter. And Apple is apparently due to refresh pretty much all of its hardware line-up, with new Apple Watches, iPads, Macs and the firm's long-delayed AirPower charger due to arrive later this year. Apple maintains that the keyboard issues have affected a very small portion of customers and stands by its keyboard design with an extended, four-year replacement program should something go wrong.

Officially, the 2015 MacBook Pro was superseded in late 2016 by the MacBook Pro with Touch Bar. Apple has also added "Hey Siri" support to its new MacBook Pro models. The note provides quite a detailed list of upgrades for Apple tech, that should be announced at its Fall event in a few weeks time.

It's not a huge deal, but I'm also going to miss seeing MacBooks with a MagSafe power adapter, which helped prevent the older 15-inch model from being tugged off of a desk by accident. Both new models are listed on the India site.

The MacBook Pro's Retina display features 500 nits of brightness, support for P3 wide colour gamut, now also has True Tone display, making it the best display on a Mac.

Apple has updated internal RAM support as well with the new MacBook Pro now supporting for up to 32GB of memory.
