During Ubisoft's E3 2018 press conference, the company kicked off with a new trailer for Beyond Good and Evil 2 which announced the return of some fan-favourite characters.

Afterwards, hitRECord will make a demo to send to Ubisoft, which can then incorporate the ideas into the game. And, of course, with Pey'j and Jade we're seeing a bit more connection to the original game. The developers stated that when the game ships you'll seamlessly have the ability to hope in and out of game's between you and your friends. Ubisoft is proud to reveal a collaboration with the online creative platform HitRECord. That game also asked passionate fans to contribute assets while the game was still in shaky development, and the game was ultimately cancelled anyway so who knows what happened to that work.

Back in 2017 we all got a surprise at E3 with the announcement that Beyond Good and Evil 2 was actually going to be a thing.

Ubisoft presented the trailer for Beyond Good and Evil 2 with all the fanfare it deserves. You can sign up to participate in the Space Monkey Program at the official Beyond Good and Evil 2 website.

A new CG trailer showed plenty of interesting characters, including a pig cooking on a street food stand and some kind of robot head thingy playing chess. Joseph Gordon-Levitt took to the stage to talk about the initiative, and said that this project is "the first time we're making stuff that's gonna go into a video game". Michel Ancel, the game's director, is also directing the upcoming prequel.

Developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, Beyond Good and Evil 2puts players in System 3, a solar system that is at the center of interstellar colonization and trade in the Milky Way in the 24th century.
