The next day, George, 4, and Savannah, 7, showed again that they are definitely a playful pair of cousins, as they enjoyed a day out at the Beaufort Polo Club in Gloucestershire. That said, the duchess and her kids were clearly happy to be mixing with the crowds, with Catherine even climbing to the top of the slide alongside other parents while George had a quick trip down it.
Kate, dressed in a light blue open shoulder dress and wedges, was pictured sitting on the grass with George and Charlotte playing next to her.
George and his friends were spotted playing with some toy guns. In a memorable moment, certainly most talked about on social media, the seven-year-old appeared to shush her four-year-old cousin and then cover his mouth during the national anthem.
Twitter users questioned why he had been allowed to play with the toy gun, with many of those pointing to the current surge in violent crime that has hit the UK.
One comment said: "This was the only disappointing thing about today's polo match photos".
Kate also got in on the fun, as she had a go on Prince George's rainbow slinky and was also in fits of giggles as Charlotte attempted (and adorably failed) at her gymnastics.
The young royal wore the Jersey polo shirt and shorts set, the Prince has previously been seen in a green version of the top but wore navy for the occasion. My American side here, biased maybe b/c of everyday gunviolence in US, but my British side agrees.
It's not a joke some people lose their lives because their children thought they played with a toy and it was a real gun!
What do you think about the toy gun?
There's a comforting feeling when we spot a member of the royal family dressed in brands we normally shop-and nope, we're not talking about designer this time.
