Durant leads Warriors to 110-102 win vs Cavs

Why a superstar’s NBA Finals masterpiece just got ignored

Curry finally found his stroke from distance, hitting his only 3-pointer of the game to extend Golden State's lead to 101-97 with just under three minutes remaining.

The Warriors have a 3-0 lead for the second straight year.

The Cleveland Cavaliers' LeBron James attempts to resurrect his team from 0-2 down in game three of the National Basketball Association finals.

1 - LeBron with the 33-point, 11-assist, 10-rebound triple-double right now and he got help from all over the place tonight and it still wasn't enough to fend off these Warriors, who rallied for the 110-102 win.

So, pray tell, how exactly do the Cavaliers try to limit a team that has one of the most-potent offenses in recent league history?

James is averaging an awesome 40.0 points, 10.5 assists, and 8.5 rebounds on 55.8 percent shooting from the field and 45.4 percent shooting from long range.

" I just felt like especially the way he was missing shots tonight, he was struggling to shoot the ball, and the confidence that he had to pull that one up, and just the momentum of the game just kind of turned in our favor at that point..." "If they had (won) Game 1, I would feel a lot better about it".

Stephen Curry and coach Steve Kerr's Golden State Warriors have repeatedly said they want to build something special for the long haul, to compete for championships year after year.

After an overtime opener loss James called one of the worst defeats of his career, the Cavaliers couldn't play Golden State as close, Curry and his teammates thwarting every threat.

Still, even over the course of the first two games of the Finals, Golden State seems - finally - more aware of what is at stake.

A glaring omission from that short list is of course, Durant's Finals opponent this year LeBron James.

The Warriors have an impressive 9-1 record in their last 10 home games.

With the game hanging in the balance, Durant delivered an all-time, ice-in-his-veins pull-up three-pointer to effectively end the Cavs season. There's no, like, OK, you're down 2-0 and you feel better than when you're down 2-0 before. Who knows how many legitimate suitors there will be by the time free agency hits. Durant scored 10 points in the third quarter.

Andre Iguodala has been dealing with a bone bruise in his knee since Game 3 of the Western Conference finals, but warmed up Wednesday afternoon and could return to action. Hood, meanwhile, made the most of his release from the bench, scoring 15 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field to go with six rebounds in 26 minutes.

"There's going to be nights like this for all of them".

Durant had 24 points and 8 rebounds in the first half while the Warriors' other 4 starters made a combined 5-of-20 from the floor for only 13 first-half points and Cleveland enjoyed a 28-16 first-half rebounding edge.

There are nights when the Warriors win by the grace of their fluid offensive scheme, and others when they rely on the singular exploits of Kevin Durant.
