Cynthia Nixon posts touching tribute to her transgender son

In honor of Pride Month, Cynthia Nixon posted a touching tribute to her transgender son Samuel Joseph Mozes.

The 52-year-old former Sex and the City actress, who is running for governor in the state of NY, celebrated her son in an Instagram post during the Trans Day of Action.

Friday, June 22 marks the 14th annual Trans Day of Action.

Actress and NY gubernatorial candidate Cynthia Nixon has announced that her oldest child has come out as transgender.

"I'm so proud of my son Samuel Joseph Moses (called Seph) who graduated college this month", she wrote. "I salute him and everyone is marking today's #TransDayofAction".

Nixon had Samuel, born Samantha Mozes, with her ex-husband Danny Mozes, along with her 15-year-old son Charles Ezekiel Mozes. The flamed-haired actress split from Mozes in 2003 and came out as gay.

In 2004, Cynthia began dating Christine Marinoni, and the two were married in May 2012. They have a son Max, 7.

In March of this year, Nixon announced she would be running for governor of NY against Democrat, Andrew Cuomo.

"We want our government to work again".

Nixon has said she put her hand up for governor because she knows her city can do better and turn itself into a "New York for the many, not just the few." .

Kim didn't say anything bad about Cynthia, she merely gave a blanket statement stating that she was in favor of her co-stars doing whatever they wanted with their career.
