Sonic Team Racing – another surprise ruined

Following yet another leak by Walmart, SEGA has officially announced Team Sonic Racing.

Trusted Reviews has rounded up everything there is to know about the game including release date, gameplay info, trailers and more.

Team Sonic Racing will be out this Winter 2018 for the PC, PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

Sumo Digital, who developed 2010's Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing and 2012's Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, has once again been tapped to hit the tracks.

It seems Walmart has learned nothing from its previous attempts to spoil E3 and has gone right ahead and revealed Sega's previously teased new racing game. They showcase what to expect from this upcoming racing game.

Team Sonic Racing will feature both online and offline multiplayer, pitting you and your friends against each other in groups. So will you be jumping into the Team Sonic Racing hot seat later this year? Fifteen Sonic characters will be on the roster to choose from, all of which have one of three archetype that can then be tweaked with performance and skin customisations. The game's online and co-op modes will support 12 players and feature four player split-screen. "Use various team moves to assist your teammates, knock out opponents and unleash your team Ultimate", the game's description reads. On top of this there are also "Wisps", 14 different offensive and defensive items to get the advantage over rival teams.

The product details list a playable roster of 15 characters, each specialising in either speed, technique, or power.
