Princess Charlotte wears Prince George's cardigan in new photo with Prince Louis

In the shot, shared by Kensington Palace on May 2, the only daughter of Prince William and Kate Middleton is dressed in a sweet navy cardigan previously worn by her older brother, Prince Geroge. In the photos of George and a newborn Charlotte that Middleton took in 2015, then-one-month-old Charlotte wears the exact same sweater and trousers, because if it ain't broke, don't fix it.

The Duchess of Cambridge was also the one who documented Princess Charlotte's first days at the Kensington Palace three years ago.

If your kids complain at having to wear their older siblings' hand-me-downs all the time, these pictures are proof that it's something even royals have to deal with. Besides regularly rewearing various priceless royal headpieces and her wedding day earrings, Middleton also repeated several maternity outfits while pregnant with Prince Louis, and has repeated some of her classiest get-ups three or four times each. After Princess Charlotte was born in 2015, the couple again escaped London and returned to Norfolk, where the Duke was able to enjoy a few weeks off.

There was a secret nod to Prince George.

Both Louis and Charlotte seem to be wearing hand-me-downs in the photos.

According to People, the same cardigan, which is from the Spanish brand Fina Ejerique and retails for $52, was worn by Prince George in a photo (embedded below) of Queen Elizabeth with seven of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren that was taken by well-known celebrity photographer Annie Leibovitz for the monarch's 90th birthday. "It is a huge pleasure to be among the brands in their wardrobe".

The other photo showed Charlotte planting a kiss on her baby brother's head, with the caption reading: 'This image was taken on 2nd May, on Princess Charlotte's third Birthday'.
